I bought a stylish VW for just £4,000 & sold it for £1,000s more even after major issue was discovered

A CAR dealer has revealed how he sold a £4,000 VW for a huge profit despite a major issues being discovered.
Matthew Goodman from managed to nearly double his money on the Golf Convertible as it is the "perfect time" to buy one at the moment.
The 2014 diesel motor had 75,000 miles on it when he picked it up from a showroom after staff their deemed it too old to sell on.
Matthew was undeterred, though, adding that he had a bit of a soft spot for the drop-top version of the iconic model.
There were, he admitted, a few issues he was aware of before buying the motor, including a cracked bumper and some wear and tear to the wheel rims.
In a video on his YouTube channel, he said: "Condition-wise, I've seen better...I've bought better.
"It needs a very good clean and a very good buff.
"But it drives nicely, the history's pretty good...it's just your standard prep after that."
Unfortunately, it wasn't long before he discovered a more significant problem.
This materialised in the form of a wet sloshing sound when braking, which transpired to be water trapped in the sills beneath the windows.
Matthew joked: "It's like being by the ocean.
"Lovely Caribbean beach somewhere."
The water then had to be drained, which added a bit of cost onto the final bill.
Nonetheless, Matthew still walked away with a decently substantial profit.
After "overspending" a total of around £1,200, he was left with a total spend of £5,219.
But, based on a price estimation gadget online, he was able to list it for a whopping £7,250.
Ultimately, he raked in a £2,000 profit - almost half the original value of the car.
It comes after Wheeler Dealer's Mike Brewer provided an update on his stolen Ford Fiesta after it "vanished off the face of the earth".
