Khabi Abrey, 30, died in hospital after deadly 'blaze attack'
THESE are the first pictures of the heavily pregnant woman who died in a suspected arson attack on her Essex flat.
Tragic mum-to-be Khabi Abrey, 30, suffocated on fumes after a deadly fire on the ninth floor of her Southend apartment.
Lillo Troisi, 47, of Westcliff, appeared in court yesterday charged with her murder.
Unemployed Troisi also faces charges of arson with intent to endanger life and arson being reckless as to whether life was endangered.
He appeared at Southend Magistrates’ Court Wearing a red prison-issue tracksuit.
Troisi didn’t not enter a plea and is due in Chelmsford Crown Court today.
Khabi was in the later stages of pregnancy when she was killed by a fire started close to the front door of her home.
She was rushed to Southend hospital after suffocating on fumes but died on Monday evening.
Her unborn baby died of cardiac arrest, coroners said.
It was also revealed that Nigerian born Khabi was married but her husband, named only as Judah, was not in at the time.
Her friends today took to Facebook to pay tribute to her.
Joy Munya Munemo wrote: “Stolen from this troubled earth. Your soul at a better place.”
Atupele Kapisa said: “God Comfort your husband during this difficult time.
“Your smile was always bright rest in peace beautiful empress.”
A heartwrenching tribute from pal Lavy Lev read: “To say that I am lost for words would be an understatement.

Meanwhile, a Go Fund Me page set up by friends to help support Judah and Khabi’s grieving family raised more than £1,000 in a single day.
A pal, known as Sis Simiah, set up the fundraising page yesterday morning.
She wrote: “This has left a distraught partner, father to be Judah and family in total shock and disbelief.
“Please could all caring people, family and friends, come together and help raise much needed funds for our dear bredrin and his family in this terrible time.
“We want to raise funds to help cover any financial difficulties this tragic loss has brought about to heart and home.
“Can you even begin to imagine how heavy this situation could strike us in our lives, especially when in close preparation for the birth of their first child?”
