Spanish motorcyclist Luis Salom dies after crash in Catalonia GP practice
He was rushed to hospital but later died from his injuries

SPANISH Moto 2 rider Luis Salom has died from his injuries after crashing in the Catalonia Grand Prix practice on Friday, race organisers confirmed.
The 24-year-old SAG team rider crashed at Turn 12 at the challenging Montmelo track near Barcelona during Moto2 Free Practice 2.
He was transferred to the Hospital General de Catalunya where he underwent emergency surgery, but passed away at 4.55pm local time.
MotoGP said in a statement: "It is with great sadness that we have to report the passing of Luis Salom.
"Despite the best efforts of the trauma team, he passed away at 16:55pm local time."
He finished second in the Moto3 world championship in 2012, before finishing third in 2013.
He secured nine victories and 25 podium finishes in Moto3 before moving up to the Moto2 category in 2014, where he secured two podium finishes in his debut season.
