Body found in a ravine in northwest Africa’s mountains in a devastating twist to a missing Brit teen’s case
Connor Jarvis has not been heard from in weeks with police now working to identify a body found in the Atlas mountains

A BODY has been found in the mountains of northwest Africa in a devastating development in the desperate search for a missing British teen.
Connor Jarvis, 19, was due to return home to Bath, Somerset, from a solo trip to Marrakech on May 28 but never made the flight.
Now in a shattering update for his family, a body was found by a guide at the bottom of ravine close to Mount Toubkal, the summit of the Atlas Mountains on Saturday.
Avon and Somerset Police said a body had been recovered from the Atlas Mountains, with formal identification expected to take place later today or tomorrow.
"We can confirm that a body has been located in the Atlas mountains in Morocco," the spokesman said.
"Moroccan authorities have recovered the body. Although formal identification has not yet been completed, the family of Connor Jarvis have been made aware."
Police previously appealed for a soldier who was also from Bath, who had spent time with the 19-year-old.
But an Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said the soldier had been located and spoken to when he arrived home in England.

It is understood he was able to give police some details but was not with Connor Jarvis when he was in the mountains.
Connor’s sister Casey Sian Jarvis begged people to stop asking her for updates on social media, saying: “DONT BE SO INSENSITIVE!!!! Can't everyone see how hard this is already”.
In heart-breaking appeals, Casey has continuously asked for help in the family’s search for her little brother.
Earlier this month she wrote: “For years and years now he has been bigger and taller than me and always been there to protect and support me, but he's still my little brother, and now I can't protect him! ???? just want him home where he belongs!”
Connor’s family released a desperate plea earlier this month, asking for anyone who had seen their son.
Parents John and Sian said: “We are doing all we can to try and locate him but at the moment we have had no sightings of him. We are very grateful to everybody who has passed on information and for their kind thoughts at this very difficult time for our family.”
Connor was last seen by his family on May 22.
A spokesperson for the Foreign Office said: "We are providing assistance to the family of a British man who was reported missing in Morocco."
