Watford striker Troy Deeney blasted as ‘exactly what’s wrong with football’ after £180k Lambo birthday brag
Fans slam 'absolutely bang average' player's cocky brag on social photo sharing site Instagram

WATFORD striker Troy Deeney has been slammed by footie fans as an example of what is wrong with the modern game after he bragged about getting a Lamborghini for his birthday.
Deeney, who previously played for League One’s Walsall FC, posted a snap of the £180,000 supercar - saying: “It’s my birthday so why not treat myself I think I deserve. “Thanks everybody for the messages.”
But some of Deeney’s Instagram followers were not impressed with the player’s cocky brag.
Gaz Smith said: “Exactly what’s wrong with football these days!
“Absolute bang average player driving around in a motor like that!”

Earlier this week an online gambling firm caused controversy by putting a prison cell outside the Leicester City ground in a swipe at their transfer target Deeney.
Fruity King tweeted a picture of the fake cell, and a ball and chain, outside the King Power Stadium on Tuesday.
A caption with the photograph said: “To make you feel at home Troy.”
The tweet refers to the fact that Deeney, 28, was jailed for 10 months in 2012 for his part in an attack on a group of students in Birmingham.
Foxes’ boss Claudio Ranieri wants Deeney as a potential partner for England striker Jamie Vardy – but also as an important part of his attempt to build a much stronger squad, offering the Premier League champions back-up in all key positions.
But Watford, who are thought to want more than £20m for the player, are determined to keep their captain at the club for the new season and are preparing fresh terms.
Deeney firmly etched his name in the Watford FC history books in the 2014/15 season when he became the first player in the club’s history to hit more than 20 goals in three successive seasons with a 21-goal haul.
He scored 15 goals last season.
