Seaside ice cream shop offers drone delivery service to beach-goers
Customers no longer need to leave their deck chairs to grab a cold snack

A MUM and daughter test out a new beach service — ice creams delivered by drone.
Customers order their ices by phone — then Rock & Ices Limited will fly them in at Mablethorpe, Lincs.
The company decided to take customers' ice cream to them using the unique tech after realising how much beach-goers hated getting up from their deckchairs.
All customers need to do is order the ice creams via the Ice Me app, which offers six varieties of ice cream. The order is then flown out by a £4,000 drone.

Boss Nigel Stephenson said that now that they first looked at how someone could remotely order an ice cream, and said that he thought that they looked at having an app.
He said: "We then needed to find a cost effective solution to deliver ice creams to people on the beach."
The company then enlisted specialists to help them design the drone. And if someone is feeling particularly peckish there's no need to worry - it can carry the equivalent of 10 Mr Whippy's.
But it's not quite ready for beach-goers just yet.
Mr Stephenson said that it is now awaiting safety approval for the scheme. He said: “It helps visitors enjoy more beach time.”
