MATTHEW McConaughey admitted to CBS This Morning that he'd be "a fool" not to consider running for Texas governor.
The Academy Award-winning actor - who revealed in a podcast last month he was considering - made the statement on the morning TV news show on Wednesday.

Speaking on "," the 51-year-old actor talked about how him and his wife Camila Alves are hosting a virtual benefit concert to help Texas after a brutal winter storm.
The event - titled "We're Texas" and to be hosted by McConaughey - will be held on Sunday, March 21.
After talking about how him and his wife "came up with the idea of the benefit," the and producer
- who last year and aged 15 - said: "I'm giving it consideration. I would be a fool not to.
"It's a very honorable thing to consider, you know, what that position would mean.
"What would it be for me, what would it mean for the people of Texas.
"As I've said before and I'll say again now, I have to decide for me what is my category where I can be most useful in life from here?"

Despite commenting on a possible Governor run, McConaughey didn't mention anything on a run for Senate.
