A group of entrepreneurial Russian strippers are hoping that Pokemon Go players who are spending their time with their eyes on their phones are on the hunt for more than just a digital friend.
The strip club in the city of Rostov-on-Don in south-western Russia is planning to put on shows inspired by the viral gaming sensation which is taking the world by storm.
The new performance is called "Catch me if you can" and involves the strippers getting special body makeup makes the strippers resemble some of the fans favourite Pokemon.
Anastasya Gold, administrator of the strip club, said: "We try going hand in hand with the latest trends. Our girls use special water proof gel in order to look more like the characters of the Japanese Game."
The new performance featuring the Pokemon themed girls was announced ahead of the official release of the Pokemon GO game in Russia.
Ms Gold continued: "Why should anybody want to go wandering around town looking for Pokemon when we have all the cutest Pokemon here at hand?"
Ms Gold added that they have decided to make Pokemonmania safer and also more attractive for men.
The strip club’s manager says they have increased its profit by 30 percent since the launch of the new show.
But not everyone impressed with one customers saying Netizen ‘salo v shokolade’ said: "How much money do they get for advertising the game?!"
The Pokemon smartphone app was launched in the US on July 6, and in the UK on July , the company’s first move into the mobile gaming market.
