Couple accused of locking their six-year-old child in dog cage overnight as punishment

A COUPLE have been accused of locking their six-year-old child in dog cage and kept him in the basement overnight to punish them.
Nicholas Chamberlain, 36, and Linda Chamberlain, 34, from Pennsylvania, US, were on charged Friday with endangering the welfare of children and false imprisonment.
Nicholas Chamberlain has also been charged with assault.
The investigation started on June 19 - police went to investigate a call from a child - they were refusing go home.
The 13-year-old child of the Chamberlain's had escaped and was at a neighbours. They called police and told them the six-year-old had been locked in a cage overnight because they were "misbehaving."

A statement from the cops said: 'Through the course of the investigation it is alleged the (children) were placed in a dog cage in the cellar of the residence as punishment."
The couple also have a 10-year-old child, who has also been allegedly locked in the dog cage.
It is not known who has custody of the Chamberlain's children - they are both jailed in Blair County and their bail was set at $50,000 each.
