Drizzle returns after Britain blistered in heatwave…and it won’t be better by the weekend
UK set for days of cloud and rain as summer spell disappears

BRITS are set to soak in days of heavy rain and drizzle as the spell of good weather comes crashing to an end.
After almost two weeks of near constant sunshine, rain clouds are settling in for the rest of the week with regular downpours and even thunderstorms forecast across the UK.
And things aren't expected to improve by the weekend with temperatures remaining in the low twenties in the south and high teens in the north from now until Sunday.
Met Office forecaster Emma Sharples said: "Wednesday's weather is fairly split across the country. It will be cloudy across the Midlands and southwards with outbreaks of rain in the north and southern Scotland.
"Further south the rain will tend to clear by the afternoon and the temperature will hit as high as 23 or 24 degrees celsius."

Tomorrow everywhere south of central Scotland will be doused by another band of rain, with showers fairly heavy in England and the odd rumble of thunder.
Forecasters are predicting temperatures will be similar to today but perhaps a degree or so cooler - nothing like the figures in the early to mid 30s that Brits baked in last week.
While Friday and Saturday promise to be drier with some sunny spells, it will be fresher than we've been used to and a far cry from the summer heat everyone's been waiting for.
Emma Sharples added: "There won't be much difference between the two days, the showers won't be as frequent or as heavy and there'll still be some sun with temperatures around what we would expect for this time of year. Unfortunately Sunday will be much of the same.
"There won't be blue skies that's for sure but we should still see some sun."
