The group targeted police and government buildings

ISIS has claimed responsibility for an attack in Qamishli, northern Syria, that killed at least 44 and wounded more than 100.
A truck loaded with explosives blew up near the Turkish border according to Syrian state-TV.
Minutes later an explosives-packed motorcycle blew up nearby in the Kurdish area.
In a statement published by the Isis-linked Amaq news agency, the group claimed responsibility for the bombing, claiming it had struck a complex of Kurdish offices and that more than 100 people had been killed.
State-run Syrian TV said the bomb targeted buildings used by the Kurdish police and also hit a nearby government building.
The blasts have caused significant damage to the area and rescuers are trying to recover victims from under the rubble.
Qamishli resident Suleiman Youssef, a writer, told The Associated Press he heard the first explosion from a few miles away.
He said: "Most of the buildings at the scene of the explosion have been heavily damaged because of the strength of the blast."
