‘World’s biggest dog’ is best pals with a tiny Chihuahua
Massive mutt Major weighs a whopping 12st, but that hasn't stopped him playing fetch with his new best friend Disney

LET’S hope eight-foot Great Dane Major has had his dinner – for the sake of tiny Chihuahua Disney.
This week we told how the massive mutt is in the running to be crowned the world’s tallest dog, and today we show you the encounter we arranged between him and one of Britain’s most petite pooches.
At just three inches tall, Disney barely reaches past mighty Major’s paw.
Major’s owner, Brian Williams, 55, from Penmaen, near Swansea, said: “He might weigh 12st, but he’s the loveliest dog in the world. He wouldn’t hurt a fly.”

Disney, 19 months, weighs just over 27oz and hasn’t got any bigger since she was eight weeks old.
Major, who is about to turn four, has barely stopped growing.
He now stands at 8ft on his hind legs.
Every day he gets through six eggs, a two-kilo bag of mince and more than three pints of milk, while Disney makes do with just enough food to fill an egg cup.
Her owner, Natalie Vane, may save money on her pooch’s meals, but she knows it’s not always easy being so small.
The 28-year-old dog groomer, of Bilston, West Midlands, said: “I can’t get a collar to fit her so I walk her on a ferret harness.
"Dogs in the park will just knock her over and she’s so small they could do a bit of damage.”
Fortunately Major lived up to his gentle reputation, and after he and Disney gave each other a welcome sniff, she warmed up to her massive new playmate.
The pair shared a meal, frolicked through fields and played a game of fetch.
For Disney, who is normally kept clear of other dogs, it was a revelation.
Natalie said: “I can’t believe how well they get on — it’s the beginning of a beautiful friendship.”
Or for now, an encounter with a furry-tail ending.
