Mystery as body of man is found on Blackpool beach

COPS are investigating after the body of a man was found on a beach at a popular seaside resort.

Officers were called to the seafront in Blackpool, Lancashire, after a member of the public made the grizzly discovery yesterday afternoon.

The body was found near Blackpool Tower and was removed from the sand with the help of the coastguard.

A police spokesman said: "We were called just after 4pm to a report that the body of a man had been found on Blackpool beach."

Police added last night that the discovery was not being considered suspicious, the reported.
