BRITS are set to bask in sunshine as a hot draft of air swooping in from the continent brings in the weekend sunshine, which will remain for 20 days.
Today the mercury will start to rise to around the 25C mark with the South East edging towards the low 30s by Sunday with much of the rest of the UK comfortably in the mid 20s.
Unfortunately for those in the North of England and Scotland they will be hit by blasts of wind which could impact outdoor events.
Met Office forecaster Helen Roberts said: "Today there will be a bit of a North/South divide with some cloudier conditions across Scotland in particular, perhaps some outbreaks of rain at times, particularly in the west.
