Pic shows: The bull hits the man; Graphic footage has caught the moment when a young man was brutally gored in the neck and stomach by a raging bull during a traditional festival. The victim, identified as Leopoldo Cruz Espinoza, can be seen trying to dodge the angry beast but he gets knock down the ground where he falls unconscious. The animal takes his time as he sweeps his horns left and right all across the man’s body, which is tossed around like a ragdoll. The bull punctures Leopoldo’s stomach with his left horn and then his neck with his right, as blood starts to seep out of the man’s wounds and the hundreds of spectators can only scream in horror. The bull seems to be getting angrier as the attack continues until some onlookers try to distract him by pouring beer all over him. Finally, after one last prod with his horn and stamp with his hoof, the massive animal runs off down the road. Rescuers then arrive in what looks like a forklift truck reinforced with wooden pallets. Leopoldo’s body is carried onto the vehicle and he is taken to hospital, where doctors said his condition is serious. According to local sources, as many as 19 people were injured by bulls during the run on that day, with three of them sustaining serious injuries. However, the video of the attack – which quickly gathered thousands of views online – has been met with disdain by social media users. Several of them congratulated the bull and many even said they were happy that the man got his comeuppance for taking part in such a brutal and cruel tradition. One anonymous user wrote on a local internet forum: "Waiting from the medical team to hear about when this son of a b*tch dies, I hope he suffers for at least three days before he does." One user, who admitted they felt sorry for Leopoldo, wrote: "They should stop f*cking with animals, I do not take pleasure in what happened but I hope it serves as an example that you can’t just mess with them and torture them."

The man is tossed up in the air by the powerful bull

The animal is filmed pushing the man against a fence and knocking him over rendering him unconscious.

The angry bull then horns its target in the groin and stomach and then spears his neck resulting in blood spraying across the cobble-stoned ground.

As the bull savages the Leopoldo like a rag doll, spectators throw beer cans on the beast in a desperate bid to stop the carnage.

The video was shot during the ‘encierro’ (meaning ‘closed-off’) bull run in the south-eastern central Mexican state of Tlaxcala.

Eventually, after one last prod with his horn and stamp with his hoof, the massive animal runs off.

Rescuers then arrive in what looks like a forklift truck reinforced with wooden pallets.

Leopoldo’s body is lifted onto the vehicle and he is taken to hospital, where his condition is reportedly serious.
