Nigel Farage’s life after quitting Ukip to be lampooned in BBC comedy starring Kevin Bishop
Titled 'Nigel Farage Gets His Life Back', the show will make fun of the 'private Nigel'

NIGEL Farage’s life after quitting Ukip is to be lampooned in a new BBC comedy starring Kevin Bishop.
The actor, who is also appearing in the remake of iconic series Porridge, will play the colourful politician in a half-hour, fly-on-the-wall, mock-documentary.
Titled 'Nigel Farage Gets His Life Back', the series will make fun of the “private Nigel” – a man at home “eating bangers and mash” and watching Pointless.
The BBC2 show will focus on life since he quit as leader of Ukip on July 4 when he said “I want my life back”.
In recent weeks he has grown a moustache and appeared at a Donald Trump rally.
The show’s portrayal of the controversial politician has been described as “cross between Basil Fawlty and Enoch Powell” by insiders.
The programme is set to include the character of the politician’s German-born wife Kirsten as she is faced with spending more time with her husband.

Producers said the show would look at “what sort of life has he gone back to” and how a man used to the spotlight will “fill his days” now he has “nothing to do”.
Peter Holmes, executive producer of the show which will air this autumn, said: “Nigel Farage has had a huge part to play in the momentous political events of recent times, and everybody has an opinion of him.
“We hope we can create a lot of laughter while painting a portrait of such a divisive figure as he fills the empty hours of retirement.”
Kevin Bishop added: “I’m delighted to be playing a character as colourful as Farage.
"He’s a gift to parody and I’m looking forward to bringing previously unseen aspects of his life to the screen.”
