What is Amazon Dash? The weirdest buttons available on revolutionary online shopping service
Incredible devices will let you order Play Doh, cat food or even condoms with one press of a button

We've all been there. It's late on a Saturday night, you're feeling frisky and then the crushing realisation that you've run out of Play Doh hits you like a glob of sticky Plasticine.
Normally, you'd have to wait until Monday morning to head down the shops or perhaps satiate your cravings by ordering some more modelling clay online.
Now you'll be able to just press a button and have a lovely supply of fresh PlayDoh delivered to your door using Amazon's pioneering Dash service.
But that's not all: you'll be able to wallop the button to order everything from condoms to catfood.
First, of course, you'll need to work out how to use the new service so here's our guide to Dash, which we've thoughtfully peppered with some of the stranger and more interesting companies which have produced buttons.
What is Amazon Dash?
It's yet another way of the American retail giant hammering its rivals and tightening its Darth Vader-like death grip on the throat of the British high street.
Basically, you'll be able to buy buttons which will automatically order one product.
The idea is that you can quickly and easily buy the stuff you purchase regularly, without having to do anything more than press a button.
How does Amazon Dash work?
The buttons are fitted with wifi which connects them to the internet.
You then set up a purchase by accessing your Amazon account and authorising a payment.
Then press away and your favourite product will arrive within 24 hours.
What happens if I keep pressing the button?
Luckily, Amazon has sorted this problem and introduced a system called "order protection".
This means you won't be able to buy the same product until your original order has arrived.
You can also also cancel items by logging into your Amazon account.
How much will it cost?
The button itself will cost £4.99, but this cost will be refunded after your first press.
The service is only available to Amazon Prime customers at this stage.
Are we all getting really lazy?
Yes.
