Who is Ahmad Rahami? New York bombing suspect sued New Jersey for racial profiling – here’s what we know

HE HAS been listed as "armed and dangerous", suspected of carrying out multiple attacks across New York and New Jersey - but who is the wanted man Ahmad Kham Rahami?
The 28-year-old was one of the first to be identified by police in relation to the Saturday night explosions, with the Afghan-born man also named a person of interest in connection with the blast in Seaside Park, New Jersey, during a 5K charity run.
But it is only now that details about the man, whose face has been plastered over FBI wanted posters, are being revealed.
Rahami is the son of a man who runs a fried-chicken restaurant on Elmora Avenue in Elizabeth, which sits below the family's apartment.
The restaurant has long been the subject of neighbourhood disputes though, with it named as a persistent neighbourhood nuisance, .
Previously staying open all night, neighbours were left complaining as loud crowds descended on the restaurant in the early hours of the morning, with those grabbing a late feed often found loitering in the yards of neighbours.
One man was even found urinating in the yard of one of the neighbours.
It was then that the city stepped in, making the decision that the restaurant should be closed by 10pm.
But the family refused to close the restaurant at 10pm, with Rahami and his father Mohammad Sr, 53, reportedly suing New Jersey police in 2011 for discriminating against them based on their religion.
Elizabeth's Mayor Christian Bollwage said: "It was neighbour complaints, it had nothing to do with his ethnicity of religion.
"It had to do with noise and people congregating on the streets."
The city and the restaurant eventually came to a truce, with the restaurant closing at midnight or 1am.
His brother even reportedly fled to Afghanistan after getting into a fight with a police officer about the business.
A New York Times profile has also given a further insight into the wanted man's life, with neighbours saying that the young man liked fast cars - particularly Hondas.
One neighbour said the petrolhead liked to "soup 'em and race 'em" in between his shifts at the family's chicken shop.
