RAPPER Shawty Lo died in a horrific car crash while he was driving down a motorway in Atlanta, Georgia but what else do we know about the star?
The 40-year-old artist was killed when his Audi smashed into two trees and reports from TMZ say he was "catapulted from his car" as it burst into flames.
His sibling confirmed the news on the star's official Twitter page writing: "My brother has passed he is no longer here but his spirit, his kind heart and his music will love on. Long live Shawty Lo King of Bankhead."
Who is Shawty Lo?
Shawty Lo, who's real name is Carlos Walker, was in the rap group D4L, which stood for "Down For Life".
They were best known for their hit hip-hop song "Laffy Taffy" which reached number 1 in the US Billboard Hot 100 in 2007.
Soon after the fame, Shawty Low went solo and released his song "Dey Know".
He has 11 children
Shawty Lo is reportedly a dad to 11 different children by 10 different women and he had his first child when he was just 17-years-old.
Apparently he has 9 daughters and two sons.
He had a public spat with T.I.
Back in 2008 Shawty Lo had a publicised fued with the famous rapper T.I. after they released the diss song "Dunn Dun" and "What Up, What's Haapnin".
The pair even had a public showdown when they came face to face with each other at the 2008 Dirty Awards and it got so heated the police had to shut down the ceremony.
But they buried the hatchet in March 2009 when they appeared on stage together for T.I.'s farewell concert and he claimed the whole thing was "exaggerated".
He started his own record label
At the same time D4L formed in 2003, Shawty Lo also started up his own record label called D4L Records in Atlanta.
And in 2011 he signed the label over to G-Unit South for almost £8million.
