A WOMAN has bravely shown the cuts and bruises that covered her body after she was battered for four hours by her former partner.
Kelsie Skillen shared photographs of her injuries after her vicious boyfriend James McCourt, 19, admitted to the brutal attack in court.
The 19-year-old has now been left scarred after the attack, which occurred at the home the couple once shared together.
Writing on Facebook, she said: "Sorry for the graphic pictures but as a lot of you may know that in june my ex boyfriend JAMES MCCOURT basically locked me in our house for 4 hours and battered me repeatedly to the extent i was hospitalized.
"As u can see mostly kept hitting my face , today was the court case and he was found guilty for everything he done to me, i am also now left with a scar."
The young woman, who shared 10 photographs of the bruising that mostly covered her face and arms, wrote: "I'm purely just puttin this out there so everyone knows what hes like considering some people are still tryin to defend him and others are believing he is being sentenced for something else as that's what he's obviously going to tell people , and I would never be able to forgive myself if I didn't tell people about this and another poor girl ended up in my situation."
The post continued: "Thanks to everyone who came to support me today and who has supported me this full way it means a lot".
Addressing criticism that she had also been part of the abuse she said: "People clearly can't just accept that he's guilty".
