COPS have arrested two teens who allegedly robbed fast food restaurants while wearing clown masks.

The robberies happened in Phoenix, in the US, where they held up a Taco Bell and Domino's Pizza.

The first heist happened on Tuesday night.

Sgt. Vince Lewis told : "The primary suspect in these robberies was arrested during a traffic stop.

"(He) was found to be in possession of evidence from the robberies.

"This investigation led to the identification and arrest of the second suspect who was the getaway driver."

Lewis said the 17-year-old male suspects were being looked at for possible involvement in additional armed robberies.

Due to the age of the suspects, their names were not released.
