THIS shocking video appears to show the aftermath of a bridge collapse near Brit tourist hotspot Bali which killed at least eight people.
Three children were among those killed and 34 people are thought to have been injured when the Yellow Bridge in Klungkung collapsed at 6.30pm local time.
Dozens of people and several motorbikes were said to have plunged into the water in the disaster.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the suspension bridge which connects the small islands of Nusa Penida and Nusa Ceningan.
Many of those killed and injured are thought to have been crushed by debris after falling into water less than two metres deep.
Too many people are thought to have been passing over the bridge for a religious ceremony when it collapsed, but the cause of the disaster is still yet to be confirmed.
All of the victims were locals, police officer Arendra Wahyudi said.
Indonesia's search and rescue agency stopped the search for the day at 9 PM local time, but will resume at daybreak on Monday, its spokesman said.
The victims identities have not yet been released.
Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, a spokesman for the National Disaster Mitigation Agency said the eight victims who died have been identified, including three children aged 3 to 9.
He said two of the injured were in serious condition, while the others suffered minor injuries.
The head of the subdistrict of Nusa Penida, Gusti Ngurah Agung Mahajaya, said authorities were still trying to determine whether any people were missing.
The bridge was about 100 metres long and 1.5 metres wide and used only by pedestrians and motorcyclists.
