British Airways no longer allows pilots to take snaps or post them online while flying jets
BRITISH Airways yesterday told pilots to stop taking photos or posting them online while flying jets.
Bosses insisted selfies at 30,000ft were a no-no in an update on social media use.
But it sparked turbulence when Captain Dave Wallsworth went public over the ban on work cockpit picture.
He said: “Unfortunately, due to new guidelines, I and colleagues will no longer be allowed to post when ‘professionally engaged in our job’.
So that’s the end of my flying posts, photos and videos.
“Thanks for all the lovely comments.”

Some staff have built huge followings with their pics and clips.

BA said: “We’ve not stopped anyone from posting. We’ve just given clarity about what’s appropriate.
“For example, when flying they are responsible for everyone’s safety.
“It’s not unreasonable to ask to wait until their break to take photos.”
