Man hit by train at Birmingham International train station causes commuter chaos
Services are expected to be disrupted until after midday after the train lines were blocked for two hours

COMMUTER train lines are experiencing severe delays following a man's death after he was hit by a train this morning.
Emergency services scrambled to the scene in between Birmingham New Street and Birmingham International at about 6.50am.
Lines were reopened just before 9am but long delays are expected to continue until after midday.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said: "We were called at 6.40am today (7 November) following a report a person had been struck by a train, just north of Birmingham International railway station.
“Emergency services arrived and a man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Officers are working to establish the man’s identity and inform his next of kin.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
Trains from Wales, London and other parts of the UK, which run through Birmingham, were severely disrupted this morning.
