CHARLES Bronson is begging for his freedom with a fresh Parole appeal - but the victim of his worst crime has NEVER recovered from the trauma.
Britain's most notorious lag Bronson burst into the art class at Hull prison and took teacher Phil Danielson hostage in 1999.
The art-loving lag attacked after Mr Danielson criticised one of his illustrations.
He then tied a skipping rope around the art teacher's neck and tugged him about at knifepoint.
The horrifying incident was caught on CCTV and a bare chested Bronson could be seen with a large home made spear.
Armed with a broken beer bottle, he even threatened to stab the terrified teacher.
Recalling the ordeal to a new documentary, Mr Danielson said: “I remember him telling me: ‘Take your last breath because this knife is going in you.’
"I was terrified out of my mind.”
Bronson has spent decades in the prison system where he has carried out multiple attacks on staff and prisoners.
However, this was his most shocking and he was given a discretionary life sentence for the horrifying attack.

Mr Danielson later returned to work as an adult education manager for Hull city council but suffered a nervous breakdown.
The breakdown was a direct result of his kidnap ordeal.
In 2001 he won a £65,000 payment from the Home Office. Speaking after the case he said: "The experience has left my career prospects in ruins.
"You assume prison managers are paid and trained to protect you. That clearly wasn't the case."
Judith Gledhill, from Mr Danielson's solicitors, Thompson's, said: "As a civilian working among dangerous
criminals, his safety should have been of paramount importance."
Mr Danielson granted his first full interview to the makers of the new Channel 4 documentary on Bronson, which aired on Monday night.
The ex-teacher, now 60, told Channel 4 that he would not object to Bronson's release from prison.
The Luton born hard man is set to appear before the this month and could be freed later this year.
Speaking to the makers of Bronson: Fit To Be Free?, he said: "Considering the length of the sentence I probably wouldn’t have many grounds to object.
“I don’t feel sorry for him but part of me thinks that maybe justice has been done.”
Despite appearing to support Bronson's release Mr Danielson told the film makers that the incident left him traumatised for life and suffering from PTSD.
The same film shows a CCTV clip of a naked Bronson goading prison officers while naked.
