The influencer, who makes money through Instagram and TikTok, then launched at a police officer after the cops were scrambled to the apartment.

Manchester Crown Court heard how Snelgar and two pals had hired out the centre city accommodation, and she took her pitbull along.

Ms Lawrenson owned the apartment, and lives next door, and woke to noises at 4.30am on December 8, 2021.

She walked across the hall to see what the ruckus was and saw that the door of the Airbnb was open - showing off the mess inside.

When Ms Lawrenson stood in the doorway and asked the trio to leave Snelgar's dog launched at her, latching onto her arm.

As she screamed for help Mr Waldron came running and yelled: "Get that f***ing dog off her."

Katie Walden, prosecuting, told the court: “None of the occupants did anything.

“Mr Waldron notes that Ms Snelgar was laughing.”

He managed to get the dog off his partner but it then latched onto her leg.

The pair frantically tried to lock the dog inside the flat but the hound got out and knocked Ms Lawrenson to the ground and continued to bite and scratch her.

It then latched onto Mr Waldon's leg.

The prosecutor continued: “Ms Lawrenson remembers hearing Ms Snelgar say, ‘it’s defending me’ throughout the attack.”

Police rushed to the apartment and found Snelgar "extremely intoxicated" then had to restrain her as she tried to attack Ms Lawrenson.

When she was handcuffed Snelgar told the cop: “Don’t f***ing handcuff me, who the f*** do you think you are? Get off me.”

Snelgar also kicked him in the leg and abdomen.

Ms Lawrenson spent three days in hospital after suffering scratches, cuts and bite marks to both arms, her torso, shoulder and legs.

She said she and Mr Waldon "feared for their lives", and said in a statement: "I don't understand why they didn't try to stop me being attacked three times.

"She told me during the incident she had the dog to protect her. I'm very lucky that I have a partner that came to my rescue and put himself at risk to save me."

Snelgar represented herself and gave an emotional apology.

She wept as she told the court: "I will never forgive myself for what has happened, but I hope you find somewhere in your heart to accept my apology, I am truly so sorry.

"I still hate myself every day for what I have put you through. I could not regret this night anymore if I tried.”

Snelgar pleaded guilty to two counts of being in charge of a dog which was dangerously out of control, and one count of assaulting an emergency worker.
