Violent killer who bludgeoned her dad to death lets seaside Airbnb to hundreds of unsuspecting holidaymakers

HUNDREDS of holidaymakers have shared a seaside Airbnb with the host — with no idea she is a convicted killer.

Michelle Nicholson, 52, has let out rooms in her own home for five years.

Unsuspecting guests, who pay £36 a night, sit and chat to her in the living room with no clue she murdered her father.

She and her partner took him to a moor, clubbed him with an axe handle and set him on fire.

But her property in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, Northumberland, has received rave reviews.

One guest called it a “proper homestay experience”.

A source said: “It’s unbelievable someone like that should be allowed to let rooms in their own home to people who don’t have a clue about her past.”

Nicholson’s dad Keith was a violent drunk and drug addict who got her brother on to drugs.

In a bid to rid the family of his influence, she and window cleaner lover David Smethurst, 33, took Keith to the North Yorkshire Moors and killed him.

In 1995, Nicholson was sentenced to a minimum of 14 years in jail, while Smethurst got at least 12.

When asked by The Sun on Sunday if guests were informed of her past, she said: “I have no comment to make.”

She added she would take the listing off Airbnb.

An Airbnb spokesperson said: “The safety of our community is a priority, and the user is no longer on the platform.

"With over 1.5 billion guest check-ins to date, issues on Airbnb are rare.”
