Chris Kaba shooting: Five key facts into death of dad-to-be, 24, shot in car by armed cops in London
A GUN cop is facing trial charged with the murder of a dad-to-be shot dead in his car by armed police.
Chris Kaba was blasted in the head by a single gunshot following a pursuit in Streatham, South London, on September 5 last year.
A firearms officer has been charged with the 24-year-old's murder after a homicide probe was launched last year.
The cop, named only as NX121, has been suspended from duty, with the charge leading to a protest from his Met Police colleagues.

How Kaba was killed
Kaba was driving a dark Audi car when he was followed by an unmarked police car with no lights or sirens.

The rapper turned into Kirkstall Gardens and collided with a marked police car.
The officer fired one shot that passed through the windscreen of the Audi he was driving and hit him in the head.
His vehicle had been stopped following the activation of an automatic number plate recognition camera.
It later emerged the Audi Kaba was driving, which did not belong to him, had been linked by police to a firearms incident the previous day.

Kaba died in the early hours of the morning following the shooting.
Kaba unarmed at the time of the killing
The dad-to-be was unarmed when he was shot dead, the police watchdog previously revealed.
No firearms were found during a search of the Audi or at the scene.
The IOPC said at the time: A detailed search of the scene and surrounding area was completed last night.
"No non-police issue firearm has been recovered from the vehicle or the scene."
Officer charged with murder
The firearms cop was charged with murder last week - more than one year after the shooting.
His identity has not been revealed for “legal reasons”.
The CPS authorised the charge of murder following an investigation by the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
The officer, known only as NX121, was granted bail on the conditions that he lives at a named address, surrenders his passport and does not apply for international travel documents.
A plea hearing has been listed on December 1, with a provisional trial date set for September 9.
Met cops hand guns in
Firearms officers have been handing their weapons in as a protest against the murder charge.
Officers last week stood down from firearms duties at the treatment of their colleague.
The widespread action has left the capital with a “skeleton” armed police capability.
Armed officers from other forces are now being drafted in to help the police.
The Ministry of Defence has also agreed to a request to provide the Met with counterterrorism support should it be needed.
Home Secretary to launch probe
Suella Braverman has ordered a review or armed policing following the protest by Met officers,
She said firearms officers have to make “split-second decisions” and “mustn’t fear ending up in the dock for carrying out their duties”.
The Home Secretary added: “We depend on our brave firearms officers to protect us from the most dangerous and violent in society.
“In the interest of public safety they have to make split-second decisions under extraordinary pressures.
“They mustn’t fear ending up in the dock for carrying out their duties. Officers risking their lives to keep us safe have my full backing and I will do everything in my power to support them.
