THIS is the moment Turkish police arrested a man who fired a shotgun outside the US embassy in Ankara – hours after the assassination of the Russian ambassador.
reports that the man, named only as ‘Sahin S’, was involved in a 'shootout with police'.
But other reports say the man fired a pump-action shotgun into the air 'eight or nine times' before being detained.
The incident happened at around 4:30am local time around 2.5 miles from where Russian ambassador Andrei Karlov was gunned down by an off duty cop.
It is not clear whether anyone was hurt during the shooting outside the American embassy, reports RT.

Although the gunman, who appears to be in his late-forties or fifties, did not seem be injured when he was arrested.
Video footage of the arrest shows suspect shouting “Don’t play with us.”
Two cops, flanked by around a dozen more, can be seen leading the handcuffed gunman into a van.
America has closed the Ankara embassy and its consulates in Istanbul and Adana following the shooting, reports the .
The incident came hours came after Karlov, the Russian ambassador to Turkey, was shot dead at a photo exhibition.
He was killed by an off duty policeman who shouted out "Aleppo" and "revenge" as he fired, an eyewitness claimed.
The video showed the attacker shouting: "Don't forget Aleppo, don't forget Syria!"
The man then yelled: "Stand back! Stand back! Only death will take me out of here. Anyone who has a role in this oppression will die one by one."
