Haley took the podium in her home state of South Carolina on Wednesday morning to address her supporters and officially announced the suspension of her campaign.
"Just last week, my mother - a first-generation American got to vote for her daughter, for president," she told the crowd before ending her presidential run.
Haley added that it was clear Trump would be the Republican nominee, and although she wished him well, she didn't express an endorsement for the former president.

More of Biden's statement
Continuing, stated that although Trump has "made it clear he doesn't want Nikki Haley's supporters," there is "a place for them" in Biden's platform.
"I know there is a lot we won’t agree on," Biden said in his statement. Biden says Haley had 'courage' to run
In a statement released on Wednesday, praised Haley's "courage" in deciding to run for president and said that her followers would have "a place for them in my campaign."
“It takes a lot of courage to run for President — that’s especially true in today’s Republican Party, where so few dare to speak the truth about Donald Trump," Biden said.
"Nikki Haley was willing to speak the truth about Trump: about the chaos that always follows him, about his inability to see right from wrong, about his cowering before Vladimir Putin," he added.
'Her supporters know Trump failed'
Following Haley's withdrawal from the presidential contest, the Democratic National Committee issued a statement on Wednesday urging her followers to join the campaign.
"Trump has made it clear that he does not want Nikki Haley’s supporters — and her supporters know Trump failed the American people and that he would go even further to rip away our rights and tear down our democracy if given the chance," DNC Chair Jaime Harrison said.
"For them, there is only one candidate left in this race who’s proven he has what it takes to beat Donald Trump: Joe Biden," Harrison added.

The former president spent a considerable amount of time criticizing on immigration, crime, and the economy during his victory address, and he made no mention of Haley.
He also predicted that the GOP would unite around him.
Though there are indications of unhappiness in states like Michigan and Minnesota, where a campaign to vote "uncommitted" in protest of Biden's handling of the Israel-Hamas war garnered thousands of votes, Biden has handily won every Democratic primary contest.
Trump is a 'wounded, dangerous and unpopular candidate'
Leading campaign staffers on Wednesday pointed to Super Tuesday's outcomes as proof that former president Trump is a weak contender in the general election.
"The results of last night’s Super Tuesday contests cemented what we have known for some time now: Donald Trump limps into the general election as a wounded, dangerous and unpopular candidate," campaign chair for the Biden campaign Jen O'Malley Dillon and campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez wrote in a Super Tuesday memo.
"The Republican nominee is cash-strapped, beleaguered by a host of external issues," they wrote, "and is running on an extreme agenda that is already proving to be a significant liability for key voting blocs that are critical to the pathway to 270 electoral votes."
Mentions of Trump
