UK weather to get hotter than Abu Dhabi as Caribbean heat blast heads for Britain – but storms and snow will follow
Mercury expected to reach 17C on Monday after "spring like" weekend weather

BRITAIN will be hotter than Abu Dhabi this weekend as a Caribbean heat blast heads this way, but snow and storms will follow.
Highs of up to 17C on Monday will see Brits bask in long-awaited sunshine, but storms will hit at the end of the week with gusts of up to 70mph threatened.
The Met Office has forecast "spring like" weather over the weekend, after blisteringly cold temperatures were endured last week.
And, on Monday the mercury is expected to rocket to 17C thanks to "a warm southwesterly airflow".
The east of England and Scotland will enjoy the best of the warm weather, while the south-west could see showers and blustery winds.
