A SCHOOLBOY who vanished in a city centre has been found safe and well after cops urged people to call 999 immediately if he was spotted.

Kornel, 12, was last seen in Coventry on Wednesday, with police appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.

In a post on Facebook yesterday morning, West Midlands Police said: "The 12-year-old is around 4ft 11ins tall and was last seen in #Coventry city centre.

"He was wearing a black Hoodrich tracksuit, with a black jacket, and Nike trainers.

"If you see him, please ring 999 immediately quoting PID: 451862."

Kornel's mum Patrycja asked anyone who has seen Kornel to contact her or cops.

A witness said she saw him last night going to a shop with another child at Stoney Station Road and and Leicester Causeway.

"I asked why two kids were alone on the street at half past nine... they said they were going to the shop."

Police then confirmed to the Sun Kornel had been found safe.
