DUTCH police have arrested eight badly behaved British tourists accused of brawling on a train and defecating on its toilet floors.
The men were taken into custody at a station in Amsterdam as they alighted from a high-speed Thalys service from Brussels.
Officers were waiting for them at the station, having been tipped off by fellow passengers that around 10 to 15 tourists were fighting on the train.
Witnesses said the unruly Brits where then bundled into waiting police vans.
A spokesman for Amsterdam police said: "The information was enough to detach a welcoming committee on the platform.
''We waited for the train and sealed off the surroundings to arrest all those involved."
The Brits had also allegedly vandalised the train toilets.
The spokesman added: "They also made four toilets unusable by defecating next to the toilet instead of in it.
