Police chiefs to hold crisis talks on how to tackle rising violence following murder of PC Andrew Harper
TOP cops have been summoned to crisis talks after the murder of PC Andrew Harper — amid a spike in attacks on officers.
Britain’s 44 most senior officers will be asked how they plan to tackle the rising violence.
And the National Police Chiefs’ Council will also ask them to explain the circumstances around the attacks.
The high-level summons came as members of PC Harper’s heartbroken family paid tribute to him yesterday — while colleagues held a minute’s silence in his memory.
Officers across the country, as well as paramedics and fire crews, joined in the gesture at 11am.

Andrew — newly married to wife Lissie, 28 — was dragged by a vehicle in Sulhamstead, Berks, just over a week ago, on August 15.
Jed Foster, 20, has been charged with his murder and remanded in custody before a potential trial next January.
