Meghan Markle and Prince Harry gush over baby Archie as they drop in on a Muslim family for tea
THE Duke and Duchess of Sussex gushed over baby Archie as they dropped in on a Muslim family for tea.
They praised the four-month-old as a good traveller, who slept for most of the 11-hour flight to South Africa.
The royals opened up about life as parents as they joined the family and friends of Shaamiela and Ibrahim Samodien for tea in the colourful, multi-cultural Bo-Kaap district of Cape Town.
They sat side by side at a dinner table laden with cakes and other sweet treats, including traditional Malay doughnut-type delicacy known as koeksisters.
Mrs Samodien, 63, said: “They mentioned Archie and said how wonderful he is and he’s a wonderful traveller.”
Family friend Waseefa Majiet, 58, added: “Meghan was speaking about motherhood and the transition and said that Archie was a good traveller.
“She said the transition was quite smooth because he’s an easy baby and he was an easy traveller.
“Harry said he slept on his chest almost 11 hours during the flight.”

Meghan and Harry drank rooibos tea and sampled some of the baked goods on offer at the home.
Earlier, the Duchess cuddled children on a walkabout in Bo-Kaap, and the couple met a yoga group for the disabled.
Later in the evening they attended a reception for youth leaders at the High Commissioner's residence, where they’re staying while in the city.
