M&S £45 new-in polka dot dress could be straight from Princess Kate’s wardrobe

PRINCESS Kate never misses when it comes to her elegant sense of style.
Polka dots and florals are the timeless prints the royal always returns to, and M&S just dropped a lookalike of one of Kate's best transitional looks.

The retailer just released the , which features a flattering V-neckline and feminine puffed sleeves.
Polka dots are a trend that can be worn throughout the year, and while the £45 midi is perfect for spring dressing, it could also be styled with tights and knitwear in the cold weather.
The Princess of Wales first wore her Emilia Wickstead black and white polka dot dress when she launched the Tiny Happy People initiative back in 2020.

Looking as glamorous as ever, the 43-year-old styled the waist-defining shirt dress with a pair of espadrille wedges.
The luxury label is one of Kate's go-to brands, with the dress initially retailing for around £1,000.
While the designer version is no longer available, is strikingly similar.
The main difference between the two dresses is that Kate's version features long sleeves, while the high-street number has stylished puffed sleeves.

The £45 dress has the same midi cut that comes in at the waist to enhance the silhouette, with an easy-to-wear design that will pair with almost any footwear.
Perfect for transitional dressing, I could see the high street buy being worn with knee-high boots and a leather jacket during the winter.
For the warmer months, the playful midi could be teamed with trainers or heels, or you could channel royalty by opting for a pair of espadrille wedges.
The new-in number is yet to rack up many reviews, but one shopper raved about the spring style.

It has the same fit-and-flare cut as the designer version, with elegant blouson sleeves and a smaller polka dot print.
The £89 midi has also received impressive reviews.
