Middlesbrough set to sign Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Guzan
American international poised to become Boro boss Aitor Karanka's ninth summer signing after eight seasons at Villa

BRAD GUZAN looks set to stay in the Premier League after all.
The American international goalkeeper was relegated with Aston Villa last season – now he’s poised for an instant return with promoted Middlesbrough.
Guzan, 31, was a having a medical on Thursday ahead of signing a two-year deal.
He will be boss Aitor Karanka's ninth summer signing and will arrive at the Riverside on a free transfer.
Guzan played 170 games for Villa after joining from Chivas USA in 2008.

But new Villa boss Roberto Di Matteo has deemed the stopper surplus to requirements after he signed highly-rated Italian Pierluigi Gollini.
Mark Bunn is also on the books at Villa Park.
The move north will see Guzan challenge fellow newcomer, former Barcelona and Manchester United keeper Víctor Valdes, and last season’s No 1 Dimi Konstantopoulos for a starting spot.
If the move goes through in time, Guzan could even make his Boro debut on Saturday ... against Villa at Villa Park.
