WWE Backlash 2023 LIVE — Bad Bunny defeats Damien Priest in his hometown as Carlito and Savio Vega make shock returns

BAD Bunny defeated Damien Priest in his hometown of Puerto Rico at WWE Backlash Saturday night.

Judgement Day's Finn Balor and Domenik Mysterio attempted to ruin the Puerto Rican rapper's homecoming but WWE legends Carlito, Rey Mysterio, and Savio Vega arrived to help him secure the win.

The pay-per-view event is the first to be held in Puerto Rico since New Year's Revolution in 2005.

Meanwhile, in the main event, Cody Rhodes was able to get revenge on Brock Lesnar after a bloody battle ended after he reversed a kimura lock into a pinfall victory.

WWE Backlash streamed exclusively on Peacock and has ended.

    WWE fans were raving over the crowd in San Juan, Puerto Rico last night praising them for their energy.

    One fan wrote: “This crowd at #WWEBacklash is unbelievably into this. It’s incredible.”

    Another wrote: “If all crowds at wrestling shows were how Puerto Rico is tonight. No show would have a boring moment haha. The crowd is more entertaining then some talent.”

    Fans went wild on Twitter praising the match between Bianca Belair and IYO SKY with one writing: “The match not over and I’m already wanting them to run it back”

    Bianca Belair ended up securing the victory and retaining the Raw Women's Championship.

    Rhodes tore his right pectoral tendon completely off the bone, while weight training on Friday, June 3, 2022, WWE announced.

    In a tweet, WWE said: "@CodyRhodes suffered a partially torn right pectoral tendon during a brawl with @WWERollins this past Monday on #WWERaw.

    "However, Rhodes has vowed to still step inside #HIAC tonight."

    Brock Lesnar has been cut open and his blood is all over Cody Rhode's body!

    Rhodes seems to be unphased by the blood everywhere and has taken over control of the match.
