ARSENAL are prepared to sell midfielder Thomas Partey in January in a bid to raise transfer funds, according to reports.

Jesus 'has to improve'
Alan Shearer believes Gabriel Jesus has to improve if Arsenal are going to win the Premier League.
The Brazilian has scored just one goal in nine Premier League appearances so far this season.
Speaking on Match of the Day, Shearer said: "Well he's not a goalscorer, he never has been.
"When you look at his numbers, he brings more to Arsenal's game than just goals.
"He's got one goal in nine games this season and that will improve, that has to improve."

Arsenal will sign a new defensive midfielder in 2024, according to reports.
The Gunners bolstered their midfield in the summer with the club-record signing of Declan Rice.

The Poland international only joined the Gunners from Spezia back in January, signing a five-year deal.

The Manchester City manager was speaking to Sky Sports following his sides 3-3 draw with Tottenham.
Referee Simon Hooper sparked controversy when he pulled the game back for a foul on Erling Haaland when Jack Grealish was through on goal in the 94th minute despite initially playing advantage.
Haaland fumed at the decision and after the game left the pitch in an X-rated blast.
These emotions were seemingly also felt by Guardiola.
Asked about Hooper's call at the end of the game, he said: "Next question."
He then pulled a smirk, before adding: "I will not do a Mikel Arteta [style] comment."
Diomande interest
Arsenal are 'very interested' in signing Sporting Lisbon's Ousmane Diomande.

Dusan Vlahovic has reiterated his desire to stay with Juventus.
The Bosnian centre forward reportedly snubbed the Gunners to sign for the Old Lady.
Now, in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport he insists he's happy where he is and a new deal is being discussed with the club's sporting director.
"I still have two-and-a-half years left on my contract, we are in no hurry, but (Cristiano) Giuntoli and my agent are already talking. I am very happy to stay here," Vlahovic said.

Havertz should play upfront
Kai Havertz should be used as a centre forward, according to Paul Merson.
"This is unbelievable play by Havertz, it is movement at its best", Merson analysing his goal against Brentford last week.
"I think he should play up front. That was centre-forward movement in my opinion he drifts behind defenders and it’s a great header. Confidence, every player will tell you, if you can bottle one thing it’s confidence."
Gabriel Jesus praise
Gabriel Jesus' forward play has been praised by Danny Murphy.
"There's lots to admire about Jesus", Murphy told BBC Match of the Day.
"He's physically very good with and without the ball. He's got great feet, he's unselfish, he brings other people into play. He does chip in but arguably not enough. This is what he's really at.

Emile Smith Rowe could be tempted by a move to Aston Villa, according to reports.

The AFC Newsroom revealed on X that a move in January is being explored.

Fans left stunned at legend's outfit during draw
Arsenal legend Ian Wright drew comparisons to the Michelin man thanks to his huge winter coat.
Wright was at the Silverlake Stadium as non-league Eastleigh hosted Reading in the FA Cup second round.
And fans could not take their eyes off the pundit's massive jacket, which is a Moncler and Adidas hybrid costing nearly £2,000.
One said: "Ian Wright borrowing the Michelin Man’s winter coat for the live FA Cup game today."

Fans say FA Cup draw is 'fixed'
Arsenal fans reckon the FA Cup third round draw is "fixed" after landing a considerably harder tie than their rivals.
The Gunners will host Liverpool in the pick of the bunch.
Meanwhile, Chelsea welcome Preston North End, Manchester United travel to Wigan and City play Huddersfield at home.
It left some Gooners irked and believing the draw was "rigged" and "fixed."
One said: "Arsenal vs Liverpool in FA cup third round draw! Whereas man united have Wigan away, Man City have Huddersfield. That is fixed."
Another added: "Liverpool in the FA Cup third round. What a surprise. Another year, another rigged cup draw.."
One fumed: "This FA cup draw is rigged. What are the odds of playing City & Liverpool back to back years in the 3rd round."
