  • Red Devils face defensive headache tonight

    Ruben Amorim is likely to be without four defenders at Chelsea tonight.

    Diogo Dalot, Matthijs de Ligt, Ayden Heaven and Leny Yoro are injured.

    But United boss Amorim says at least one of them could “possibly” be fit for Wednesday’s Europa League final with Tottenham.

    He said: "I don’t know [my team for the final]. I know the starting XI I am thinking for Chelsea, then I will see.

    “Even the way we play there, against Chelsea, I will see it and it’s going to be important for the next one.”

    Ipswich striker Liam Delap has been advised against signing for Manchester United.

    "I wouldn’t stay at Ipswich, I’d go to West Ham, go and prove yourself at West Ham, the next step.

    "They need a striker, Evan Ferguson will go back to Brighton, it hasn’t worked out.”

    Liverpool and Arsenal will reportedly lead the race for Chelsea frontman Christopher Nkunku.

    Manchester United and Bayern Munich were said to have shown interest in the Frenchman during the January transfer window.

    And with the 27-year-old still failing to land regular starts at Stamford Bridge, there could be a big fight for his services in the summer.

    The ex-RB Leipzig hero has also ben linked with a return to his first club Paris Saint-Germain.

    "Then we have the squad. We proved this year that we need to be a better squad if we want to win European games and then be really competitive in the Premier League. That is going to be tough.

    "It is going to be really bad [if United don’t win the final]. I don’t want to use that as an excuse.

    "It is going to be really tough and the patience of the fans and you guys [the media] next year if we don’t win it is going to be on the limit."
