Toughest ever
Pep Guardiola also appeared before the match and described this seson as "the toughest season of my career" due to the standards City have set in recent seasons.
He said: "I have been here more than 20 times: semi-finals, finals, Carabao Cup, and FA Cup. The first time is always the emotion, but we prefer to be here than at home.
"It has been a tough season for one reason because our standard was so unbelievably high.
"We are in the final of the FA Cup - we are fighting to play for the Champions League. We will see what happens.
"Hopefully, we can show our best and lift the second title of the season and fight to qualify for the Champions League next season.
"We tried to create as a team, really good in transitions, really good in set-pieces. For that, the only way to break it up is talent."
15 to go
The FA Cup final gets underway in 15 minutes at Wembley.
Man City come into this match as the favourites, but Crystal Palace are no pushovers.
It’s set up to be a great game, and you can expect goals.
King Kev banner
Man City fans are set to unveil a huge tifo in honour of Kevin De Bruyne, who will play in his final match for the club today.
It has also been reported that Erling Haaland donated around €5,000 (£4,200) to the 1894 fan group to help fund the banners.
The design will show De Bruyne's face on a pack of cards that fan to all the trophies he's won.
There's been 14 of them.
We'll share a picture when it comes through.
Two classic no. 9s up front
It’s a battle of the big men up front, as both teams start their star strikers to lead the line.
Crystal Palace’s Mateta has scored 17 goals in all competitions this season.
At the other end, City’s Erling Haaland has notched an impressive 30-goal tally in all competitions.
Haaland struggles
Anyone banking on an Erling Haaland goal may want to think again.
The Norwegian hitman has incredibly never scored at Wembley.
He's played five times at the national stadium, three times in the FA Cup, and failed to find the net in all of them,
It's his worst record at any stadium since he moved to the UK, with only Anfield (three matches) coming close.

Pep Guardiola's team selection has raised a few eyebrows with Man City looking like they're going to be very limited in midfield.
It looks like it could be a back four - with Nico O'Reilly operating as an inverted left back - and LOTS of attacking options.
Mateo Kovacic has missed out but Erling Haaland has been deemed fit enough, to start at least.
On Kovacic, Perp said: "He doesn't feel perfect, Tuesday we have a game, so I don't take the risk."
He added: "With Erling we won the treble, we're lucky to have him, we're not good without his goals, I don't know if he can play the whole game."

Sean Dyche is also in the BBC pundit studio and has been impressed by Palace this season.
He said: "Crystal Palace have been semi-direct, in a good way.
"They play forward quickly getting it into the pockets and they have defended well especially in the second half of the season.
"They have a threat and that mix of cleverness and pace. Jean-Philippe Mateta has improved no end.
"They have a number of ways of operating."
Dias needs 'gasoline'
Man City defender Ruben Dias believes City's disappointing season should be "gasoline" for a big performance in the FA Cup final.
He said: "The way you feel a loss, it hurts, it's not a nice feeling.
"But they push you like anything else pushes you, and I take that into a good place because these will give us gasoline.
"It's frustrating but at the same time even in the most frustrating times we need to be able to look back and look at how demanding it is mentally to win four [Premier League titles] in a row, there's a reason why no one has done it before."

That's the view of Man Utd and England legend Wayne Rooney who believes the Eagles are going to be absolutely DESPERATE to win a first major trophy in the club's history.
Rooney told BBC: "There's more pressure on Palace. The fact that they have never won a trophy in the history of the club.
"To have that pressure on your shoulders, and people are expecting them to go and beat Man City - it is crazy.
"City in my opinion are favourites. If City turn up they will win the game."

Kevin De Bruyne will want to mark the end of his time at Man City by lifting a trophy.
The FA Cup is his side’s only remaining shot at silverware this season.
Since his debut in the competition proper in 2016, De Bruyne has been involved in more goals than any other player.
The Belgian has scored 10 goals and assisted 18 more - can he add to his tally in the final this afternoon?
