SCOTTIE Scheffler WON the PGA Championship to pick up a third major of his career.
Scottie Scheffler is now half way to the golf Grand Slam, and won the tournament with a FIVE shot victory over Bryson DeChambeau and Davis Riley.
Jon Rahm made a daring comeback in the final round, and was level with Scheffler at one point, but the Spanish player was unable to keep his momentum going throughout the entire round.
Bryson DeChambeau finished well on the final day, and shared second place with Davis Riley.

Good morning golf fans!
In case you missed it, Scottie Scheffler bagged his first PGA Championship with a dominant five-stroke win.
He was joined at the top of the leaderboard by Jon Rahm at the turn but when others made errors, Scheffler kept his cool and won it comfortably in the end.
That's his third Major title after two Masters win previously and he's halfway to a career grand slam.
Showing once again why he's the world number one.
Next Majors
The two Majors being won by the two best on the planet suggests golf is good at the moment.
Here's the remaining two Majors and when they'll be.
- June 12-15 - US Open - Oakmont Country Club, Oakmont, Pennsylvania
- July 17-20 - The Open - Royal Portrush Golf Club, Portrush, Northern Ireland
PGA Championship prize money
Scottie Scheffler has pocketed roughly $3.4million (£2.6m) from a total prize pool of $19m (£14.3m).
That is slightly up from $3.3m (£2.5m) first prize last year and a $18.5m (£13.9m) pot.
That has almost doubled from the $11m (£8.3m) up for grabs when Collin Morikawa won in 2020!
Bryson heartbreak
Bryson DeChambeau finishes the PGA Championship as runner-up for the second year running.
Heartbreak for him but he told Sky Sports it'll be used to fuel the fire to make him work harder.
He said: "It was a good test of golf. I wish a couple of things had gone my way a little bit more, it felt like it didn't go my way all week.
"It's burned a fire in my stomach and made me want to fight harder.
"It sucks, but Scottie is playing incredible golf, he's an incredible golfer.
"I've got to figure out how to get up to his level."
"This will only add fuel to the fire."
Scheffler reacts
On clinching his third Major title - and first outwith Augusta - the new PGA Champion said: “That front nine - I just kept hitting it left!
“I knew it would be a challenging day. Closing out a Major is always difficult. I didn’t have my best stuff early on.
“I stepped up on the back nine though and had a good nine holes.
“My prep week wasn’t as good as I would’ve hoped but I got the job done."
Real emotion
As Scheffler crouches down shortly after lifting the trophy up for the first time.
In doing so, the lid of it comes off and falls behind him!
Some view
This 18th green is crowded all around as the presentation gets ready to get going.
Emotional scenes
After congratulating Noren at the end, Scheffler actually took his hat off and threw it to the ground in celebration.
A huge chest bump with Ted Scott followed before a double-fisted 'wooo' punch of the air in celebration.
Given how cool and calm he was today, it's incredible to see.
Final hole - Scottie Scheffler
He actually missed that putt for par but he doesn't seem to care all that much...
A one-foot putt for bogey to win the PGA Championship by five shots will do!
Straight to Meredith and son Bennett who won't know what on earth is going on.
Wee man, your dad is one hell of a golfer!
Final hole - Alex Noren
A bogey to finish for Noren and he drops from -4 to -3, dropping him into a tie for 18th place.
Hole 18: Scottie Scheffler (-12)
The Scheffler tee shot is wide down the right and into the thick rough.
He could take the green on but he's got such a lead, he knocks out sideways into the fairway.
From there, a big wedge is on a perfect line, landing 6ft beyond the pin. Sensational stuff in this back nine.
FINISHED: J.T. Poston (-5), Davis Riley (-6)
Disappointing end to the day for JT Poston, who is short with his approach to the final green.
His birdie putt leaves a lot to do for par and he can't make that either. A bogey, bogey finish for him.
Par for Davis Riley means he'll end the tournament in a tie for second.
Hole 17: Scottie Scheffler (-12)
Scheffler finds himself off the green to the right with his tee shot into this par 3.
He clips a wedge halfway to the pin and allows it to roll out and just scoot on by, by around 6ft.
His putt coming back is as steady as his last 90 minutes play has been as he finds the middle of the cup.
One hole to go.
Hole 17: J.T. Poston (-6)
Bogey at 17 for Poston as he cards a 4 on the par 3.
He drops back into a tie for second now.
Scheffler's lead is SIX!
FINISHED: Jon Rahm (-4)
He played so, so well to join Scheffler at the top when turning for home.
Complete head-loss and drop in adrenaline in the last couple of holes sees him depart the 18th green EIGHT shots behind Scheffler, having found the water down the left from his tee shot.
Double bogey, double bogey finish. Ouch!
Hole 16: Scottie Scheffler (-12)
Par for Scheffler to maintain a five-shot lead with two to play.
He finds a fairway bunker from the tee and takes out all the bunker and water danger by playing to the front of the green.
Putting through the fringe, he leaves it 3ft short and sinks the par putt to maintain the lead.
Hole 16: J.T. Poston (-7)
Chance at a birdie for Poston just slips by and he has a tap-in par.
He's five back with two to play himself.
Hole 17: Jon Rahm (-6)
DOUBLE BOGEY for Rahm at the worst possible time.
His shot from the drop zone and just over 100 yards away ends up 35ft from the hole. He actually has to sink a decent 8ft putt to save the double too.
He won't be winning this now and even drops into a share of third place behind JT Poston.
