PGA Championship 2025 LIVE RESULT: Scottie Scheffler WINS third major title with a commanding FIVE shot victory

SCOTTIE Scheffler WON the PGA Championship to pick up a third major of his career.

Scottie Scheffler is now half way to the golf Grand Slam, and won the tournament with a FIVE shot victory over Bryson DeChambeau and Davis Riley.

Jon Rahm made a daring comeback in the final round, and was level with Scheffler at one point, but the Spanish player was unable to keep his momentum going throughout the entire round.

Bryson DeChambeau finished well on the final day, and shared second place with Davis Riley.

  • Hole 15: Scottie Scheffler (-12)

    SCHEFFLER BIRDIE!

+2 in the front nine - now -3 in the first five holes in the back nine!

Terrific second shot into the par 5, finding himself exactly where Rahm ended just off the back.

Unlike Rahm, he rolls the eagle putt to a foot away and takes the tap-in birdie. That lead is extended and will grow even further shortly.

  • Hole 17: Jon Rahm (-8)

    SPLASH!

Rahm takes on the pin on 17 but the first bounce on the green kicks it left and it's never going to sit in time, bouncing off the back and into the drink.

There'll be more dropped shots here so don't pay too much attention to that -8!

  • Hole 16: Jon Rahm (-8)

They think it's all over...It nearly is.

Dropped shot from Rahm on 16 after finding sand trouble with his approach again.

Again, so tentative when coming out the sand and opts not to take the pin on, leaving 20ft for par. That snaps low late on and takes the ball away from the middle of the cup and wide. He rolls in the bogey putt but he's three back with two to play and now relying on Scheffler errors.

  • Hole 17: Bryson DeChambeau (-7)

The birdie putt of DeChambeau's on 17 is a long one, and hit aggressively across the green but misses by a foot or so to the right and rolls a few feet by.

That'll be it for Bryson who will be ruing his poor iron play this week, playing him out of contention.

  • Hole 14: Scottie Scheffler (-11)

    HUGE MOMENT - SCHEFFLER BIRDIE!

Might that be that? A birdie on 14 for Scheffler sees him move two shots clear at the summit once more.

His long tee shot finds the green-side bunker at the front left.

His bunker shot, on a downslope is terrific and sets up a 10ft birdie putt which finds the centre of the cup!

  • Hole 16: Bryson DeChambeau (-7)

    Par for DeChambeau on 16.

He needs to make something happen in the next half an hour to have a chance.

  • Hole 15: Jon Rahm (-9)

Huge disappointment for Rahm to leave the par 5 with just a par.

His second shot into it is a peach too. Albeit, the ball flight was a littler low so it pitches on the green and runs through a little.

He putts through the fringe but at some pace, flying by the hole and leaving 12ft for birdie. That putt started left and stayed there, never threatening the hole. Difficult one for him to take.

  • Hole 13: Scottie Scheffler (-10)

Another very tentative Scheffler putt on 13, after a tee shot into this par 3 that leaves him about 22ft away.

Again he comes up short with it, a couple of feet short actually, and he has to settle for par once more.

He just can't quite move ahead of this field, leaving himself these testing birdie "opportunities".

  • How we stand

We're just running out of holes for those wanting to make a late play for the championship.

JT Poston is two shots behind Rahm and three off the lead as he keeps himself in contention.

DeChambeau starting to hit form late in the day as Fitzpatrick just let a couple of shots go in the last two holes.

  • Hole 12: Scottie Scheffler (-10)

Another par for Scheffler as he looks to preserve this one-shot lead.

His approach into the green is again conservative and finds the centre of the green.

A downhill putt, 25ft away and he leaves it a few feet short before tapping in for par.

  • Hole 14: Jon Rahm (-9)

Hugely frustrating for Rahm as he stays a shot behind.

Mainly frustration as he hits the GREEN with his tee shot in the par 4, though it pitches on the green and finds itself in the green-side bunker.

The splash out is OK but not great at all and the putt is pushed so far right he misses by a couple of feet right. Tap-in for par though but another chance squirms by.

  • Hole 16: Matt Fitzpatrick (-6)

Fitzpatrick looked back in it with that eagle on 13.

But a par on the next hole, par 5 was disappointing and he thumps the green with the foot of his putter.

That's been followed by a bogey on 16 and his chances go with it.

  • Hole 15: Bryson DeChambeau (-7)

More delightful touch round the green from DeChambeau as he again sends a wedge flying into the air and the ball rolls a foot past the hole for eagle.

He'll take tap-in birdies from herein though and that puts him three back of the lead.

    Too little too late?

  • Hole 11: Scottie Scheffler (-10), Alex Noren (-5)

Close to another birdie for Scheffler but his putt snakes left at the end just as it looked like dropping.

A much better drive and 8-iron gave him the 18ft putt for birdie and that looked steadier than the mess he's put together so far.

Noren with another bogey and his tournament is gone.

  • Hole 13: Jon Rahm (-9)

No way!! How has that stayed out for Rahm!?

He's putting about 5ft left of the hole and 20ft it has to travel.

It swings round superbly, catching the back of the hole and Rahm starts to walk but it lips out and away from the back of the hole! So unlucky but he's creating chances!

  • Hole 14: Tony Finau (-5), Bryson DeChambeau (-6)

Bogey at 13 for Bryson but gets that shot back on the 14th with a superb bit of touch around the green.

The ball is lying down in the thick rough and he sends it flying into the air, dropping softly and 5ft from the hole. The birdie putt drops.

    Still four back though.

  • Hole 10: Scottie Scheffler (-10), Alex Noren (-6)

    BIRDIE FOR SCHEFFLER!

He sees almost all of the 10th hole but it's a perfect start to the back nine for Scheffler.

His second shot aimed for the green ends left and lands in a bunker.

The play from the sand is played away from the hole but leaving 10ft for birdie, which he converts.

No such luck for Noren who finds a fairway bunker with his tee shot and then a bunker green-side too. He drops a shot.

  • Hole 12: Jon Rahm (-9)

Ooooh, a chance comes and goes for Jon Rahm to move into a solo lead on the 12th hole!

His second shot is just a lob wedge into the centre of the green, leaving around 15ft for his birdie.

A slider, he trickles it down the hill and it's always coming up short and finishes low of the hole too. Tap in par.

  • Hole 14: Matt Fitzpatrick (-7)

Hello, here's a new name tonight!

Fitzpatrick with a hole out on the 13th hole for a 2 on the par 4.

From nowhere, he's in contention if posting a score for the leaders to chase!

  • CO-LEADERS AT THE TOP!

    Hole 11: Jon Rahm (-9)

Incredible stuff over the last couple of hours and Scheffler now has company at the top.

Rahm with a superb second shot on 11, played to 15ft and the birdie putt was never going anywhere else but the middle of the cup.

He's -3 for the day, -9 for the week and now in a co-leading position!

  • PGA Championship leaderboard live

25 minutes ago the picture of the scoreboard was put up with Rahm having birdied to close the gap to three.

That gap is now down to one shot and Rahm has a birdie putt upcoming on the 11th.

  • Hole 9: Scottie Scheffler (-9), Alex Noren (-7)

    SCHEFFLER BOGEY!

Could tell very early on in the round that something wasn't quite right and he's now +2 in his round.

Another stinker of a hole from the world number one as he flies the green with his third shot.

Despite mud on the ball, he opts to putt through the fringe and the par putt is on line but a foot short. Tap in for bogey and that lead is now just ONE.

  • Hole 10: Jon Rahm (-8)

    BIRDIE FOR RAHM!

He's now within two of Scheffler after taking full advantage of hole 10, the par 5 starting the back nine.

He's a little out of position too, pitching his third shot from off the green and leaving it a couple of feet away. Tap in birdie and all the momentum on side.

  • Hole 8: Scottie Scheffler (-10), Alex Noren (-7)

Just had a quick glance at the betting odds and Scheffler isn't looking like a 1/8 shot at the minute.

He starts his tee shot on 8 way, way, WAY left of his target and in the long grass.

He bumps it out of there and to 20ft for birdie, which misses in pace, line, length, speed - you name it.

Noren's birdie putt just misses too and that was a big chance to close the gap to just two shots.

  • Hole 11: Tony Finau (-5), Bryson DeChambeau (-6)

Pars at 10 & 11 now for DeChambeau to keep him in that pack at -6.

The birdie attempt at 11 slithers by and you can see him questioning those measurements of the pre-shot routine as he can't quite believe that's not dropped.
