THE thrills and spills of the summer transfer window are finally here - with some huge deals already in the pipeline.

Manchester City have agreed a sensational deal with Wolves for Rayan Ait-Nouri.

Elsewhere, Liverpool are preparing to pay the full £126m asking price to capture Florian Wirtz as soon as possible.

And it has been reported that the Reds have told Barcelona that Luiz Diaz is not for sale, but Al-Nassr are prepared to bid around £71m to test Liverpool's resolve.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid legend Luka Modric is set to undergo a medical at AC Milan.

In other news, Chelsea have been offered the chance to sign Mohammed Kudus.

    Manchester United were linked with Paris Saint-Germain star Gianluigi Donnarumma, but those rumours were shut down.

    Donnarumma's agent has confirmed talks over a new contract with PSG.

    United were suggested to be keeping an eye on the goalkeeper's situation, with his current deal expiring next summer.

    However, the Italy international's agent Enzo Raiola told Calciomercato that such claims are "pure fantasy".

  • Luka Modric medical

    Luka Modric is set for a medical with AC Milan by next week.

    Modric left Real Madrid after 13 incredible years earlier this week.

    According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, the midfielder is set for a medical after Croatia's World Cup qualifiers against Gibraltar and the Czech Republic.

    The 39-year-old still wants to play at top level despite his advanced age.

  • Kudus swap deal

    Chelsea have offered Robert Sanchez and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall in part-exchange for West Ham star Mohammed Kudus.

    According to , the Hammers have turned down an approach by the Blues for Kudus this summer.

    While the fee offered is unclear, the West Londoners were willing to include first-team stars Sanchez and Dewsbury-Hall in a bid to sweeten the deal.

    The 24-year-old has also attracted interest from Saudi Arabia, but he wants to stay in England.

  • Manor Solomon return Exclusive

    Manor Solomon is set to be given a second chance at Tottenham.

    The Israeli winger, 25, has become a forgotten man in N17 after spending the season on loan at Leeds.

    But he proved to be a huge hit at Elland Road, netting ten goals in 41 appearances as he helped the Whites to promotion back to the Premier League.

    Leeds are keen to sign him permanently, while there are believed to be other suitors in the Premier League interested in Solomon’s services.

    But SunSport understands the North Londoners are minded to bring him back into the first-team fold over pre-season with the ambition of keeping him next season.

    That is despite all the uncertainty around the managerial position at Tottenham.

    Liverpool are preparing to pay the full £126million asking price to capture Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz as soon as possible.

    Wirtz is understood to have agreed a five–year deal even though the Reds and Leverkusen have yet to agree a final fee.

    But the Merseysiders' manager Arne Slot wants to avoid a drawn–out saga.

    Liverpool first offered £110m then went back with an improved offer.

    Now chief executive Michael Edwards has been given permission by owners Fenway Sports Group to go all–in.

    There is growing optimism that the 22-year-old will put pen to paper after the end of the international break on Sunday.

  • Liverpool REJECT Diaz bid

    Liverpool have rejected an approach from Barcelona for Luis Daiz.

    According to The Athletic, the Reds are adamant Diaz is not for sale.

    Barca made contact with the Merseysiders on Wednesday but their bid was unsuccessful.

    The Blaugrana prioritised with Liverpool star over Manchester United ace Marcus Rashford.

    Nathaniel Clyne and Remi Matthews have both penned new deals with FA Cup winners' Crystal Palace.

    Clyne, 34, has been with the club since 2020 and had looked to depart after just 13 league appearances last term.

    Chairman Steve Parish said: "We are pleased to be retaining Nathaniel and Remi’s services next season.

    "They are two highly dependable members of the squad who set a high standard in their hard work, leadership and professionalism, and they will continue to play an important role at the club."

    Man Utd have launched their opening bid for Bryan Mbeumo - but it is under Brentford's asking price, reports say.

    Already, Matheus Cunha will arrive from Wolves for £62.5million after the Red Devils reluctantly met his release clause.

    And now Brentford's versatile forward Mbeumo - capable of playing out wide or through the middle - is their next target.

    According to The Athletic, United submitted an opening offer of £45million plus £10m in add-ons.

    But that is said to be below Brentford's asking price - with negotiations ongoing to strike an agreement.

    Mbeumo has a year left on his contract at the Gtech Community Stadium — plus an option to extend by 12 months.

    But he is pushing for a move to Old Trafford despite interest from the likes of Newcastle, Arsenal and Tottenham.

    Although the French-born Cameroon international is believed to be demanding wages of £250,000-per-week.

    That is FIVE TIMES the weekly £50,000 salary he currently earns.

    Sir Dave Brailsford is set to step back in his role at Manchester United.

    The move comes as part of a major reshuffle being planned by Ineos head honcho Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

    According to The Times, Brailsford will be reducing his commitment to United and returning to his role as director of sport for Ineos.

    Brailsford, famed for his so-called "marginal gains" ideology brought from cycling, stood down as team principal of Ineos Grenadiers when Ratcliffe purchased his minority stake in the Red Devils.

    He then took charge of football operations at Old Trafford and has been in that role for a year trying to implement change at the club.

    However, the season has been a disaster after United finished a record-low 15th in the Premier League.
