  • '7 Hong Kong 0-0 Man Utd

Kamason put in a very bright move down the right flank before laying the ball off to the edge of the area.

However, Garnacho was beaten to the ball by a defender.

The clearance allows Hong Kong to break up-field but the eventual cross is easily intercepted.

  • 5' Hong Kong 0-0 Man Utd

Hojlund had the chance to score but saw a close range shot blocked.

A free-kick won on the edge of the area is then delivered by Fernandes, where Casemiro is there to dive in and put a bullet header into the back of the net.

However, the lino has their flag up to disallow the goal.

  • 3' Hong Kong 0-0 Man Utd

A frantic start as both sides show off some wing play.

One of the hosts manages to run past Kamason at right wing-back.

Garnacho is then seen coming the other way but sees the ball taken off him as he looks to move in-field rather than pass to the overlapping Harry Amass.

A familiar tale that last bit.

  • Kick off

And we're underway in Hong Kong as the visitors get us started.

The Hong Kong Stadium looks packed out for the occasion at least.

Man Utd book-keepers will be happy with that at the very least.

  • Players out

We are moments away from kick-off with the stars out on the pitch and shaking hands.

Can United give their overseas support something to cheer?

    Stay tuned to find out.

  • YouTube watching

As many as 11,000 fans are watching the build-up to the game on the club's YouTube channel.

United pulled the same move against ASEAN All-Stars, before taking the stream down after a few seconds of match footage to tell fans to subscribe to MUTV to watch the clash.

Time will tell if they repeat it.

As we get closer to kick-off, the number of those watching on YouTube has spiked to almost 13,000.

  • Sour notes

Ahead of this game, Amad Diallo revealed he had been subjected to insults about his mum.

He said in a social media statement yesterday: "I have respect for people but not for the one who insults my mom…

"I shouldn't have reacted like that but I don't regret what I did.

"We had a great time in Malaysia with good people."

  • Amorim on involvement of Fernandes and Garnacho

Ruben Amorim has told MUTV why he has chosen to involve Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho today, despite both players being linked with moves away.

He said: "We need to respect and do better than the last game. We understand the players are tired, but now is the time to perform for the fans."

  • How Man Utd line-up

Plenty of first-teamers in the United team with Rasmus Hojlund, Casemiro, Jonny Evans and Tom Heaton featuring, while Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes could be making their final appearances for the club.

Harvey Amass and Shea Lacey are among the youngsters in action.

  • Last time United played in Hong Kong

United haven’t visited Hong Kong since 2013.

Last time out, the Red Devils beat local side Kitchee 5-2 in the Hong Kong Stadium - today’s venue.

Danny Welbeck, Chris Smalling, Fabio, Adnan Januzaj and Jesse Lingard got on the scoresheet for David Moyes' side.

  • Hong Kong team

Hong Kong XI: Tse, Yue, Tsui, Jones, Camargo, Merkies, Fernando, Wong, Ngan, Juninho, Udebuluzor

  • A familiar face in the opposition dugout

Former United academy graduate Ashley Westwood is the manager of the Red Devils’ opponents, Hong Kong.

Westwood never made a professional appearance for Man Utd, but the defender went on to have a good career in England.

The former United ace played in all of the top four divisions before dropping into non-league towards the end of his time as a player.

Westwood played for the likes of Crewe, Bradford, Sheffield Wednesday, Northampton, Wrexham, Lincoln City and Portsmouth.

His managerial career has been eye-opening, beginning at Kettering - then taking jobs in India, Malaysia, and Afghanistan before landing the Hong Kong post.
