Marcus Rashford kept waiting on new Manchester United contract with current deal paying £1,500 a week

MARCUS RASHFORD is being kept waiting over a new Manchester United contract.
The striker set United on the way to a 2-1 FA Cup quarter-final replay win at West Ham.
But Rashford, 18, whose deal ends in just 14 months, has yet to be called in for talks with executive vice- chairman Ed Woodward over a new contract.
The hotshot, who has bagged six goals so far in his breakthrough season, earns a basic wage of £1,500 plus a £5,000 bonus each time he appears in a United shirt.
Rashford spared boss LVG further scrutiny after his strike at Upton Park on Wednesday set up a Cup semi-final against Everton at Wembley.
Rashford had been hammered by Van Gaal at half-time during the 3-0 defeat at Spurs.
But midfield stalwart Michael Carrick believes “incredible” Rashford is in the United team to stay.
Carrick was wowed by Rashford’s superb opener.
And even with Wayne Rooney back, Carrick, 34, believes the youngster has already made it as a first-team regular.
He said: “I don’t think he’s a flash in the pan.
“I think he’s here to stay. He doesn’t change and he works hard, he listens and is willing to learn and he has a great chance of staying at the top for a long time.”
