Liverpool striker Divock Origi lined up as ‘Plan B’ by Borussia Dortmund in striker pursuit

DIVOCK ORIGI is still being considered as a 'Plan B' by Borussia Dortmund as their search for a striker continues into the final week of the transfer window.
The Bundesliga club are searching for a centre-forward and have looked at Barcelona's flop striker Paco Alcacer.
Last week there were reports that Liverpool wanted £27million for the former Lille striker, 23.
And now the German giants consider him a 'Plan B'.
Origi would be allowed to leave on loan again for the season though and a loan with an option to buy could be the best choice for Dortmund.
He has two years left on his contract though and would play third fiddle behind Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge if he stays at Anfield.
TRANSFER NEWS
Origi missed out on Belgium's World Cup squad as Roberto Martinez picked Romelu Lukaku, Michy Batshuayi and Nacer Chadli ahead of him.
But his goal record failed to impress the Red Devils boss, with seven strikes in 36 games last term during his loan spell at Wolfsburg.
Origi has netted 21 goals in his two seasons at Liverpool before being loaned to Germany.
But with Firmino, Sadio Mane, Mo Salah and Dominic Solanke favoured ahead of him, a loan spell could be his best option for more game time.
