Chelsea have scored staggering 2,000 goals in Abramovich era but which club legend has most nominees for best strike?

KAI HAVERTZ bagged Chelsea’s 2,000th goal since their takeover by Roman Abramovich when he scored in the recent 1-1 draw with Burnley.
The German pounced on a crisp Reece James cross to head home in front of a jubilant Stamford Bridge.
But while it was a finely-executed goal, most Chelsea fans would surely agree it does not rank anywhere near the top all-time Blues goals.
In fact, the club themselves are to find the best strike since Abramovich’s multi-million pound takeover in June 2003.
While the result won’t be known for some time, the nominated goals make for a fascinating trip through recent history.
Top of the list with a whopping five nominations is former star Eden Hazard, who notched 110 goals in 352 Blues appearances.
Included in his personal selection is the sensational solo effort he produced against Arsenal in February 2017.
Another option is the stunning Carabao Cup strike he produced against Liverpool in his final season before leaving for Real Madrid.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Didier Drogba is next on the list with a total of four nominations.
The powerhouse forward made a name for himself with some spectacular strikes during his nine years at the club across two spells.
Following the Ivorian striker in the hit parade is Chelsea’s all-time leading goalscorer Frank Lampard.
The ex-England international found the back of the net 211 times during his 13 years at the club, with nominations for goals against Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Hull.
It’s not just proven goalscorers on the list though - former defender Alex also gets a nod for his piledriver free-kick against Liverpool in April 2009.
