TOM CURRY'S gory face was more bashed up than France after the England flanker split his forehead open - yet he got patched up and finsihed the game.
The 20-year-old came off worst in a brutal but accidental collision with Damian Penaud's chin in a 44-8 Red Rose romp.
Curry's face, eyes and teeth were covered in blood.
But the most shocking sight was his forehead - deep red from the shuddering impact made by French centre Penaud seven minutes into the second half.
Curry's response summed up the spirit of a supremely-unified England side.
He simply went off for a blood bin - Nathan Hughes replacing him - before returning for the final 28 minutes.
The Twickenham contest was already fading by then, though, after Johny May's hat-trick had led England's impressive follow-up to a 33-20 win in Ireland.
Wing May told ITV afterwards: "Trying to raise the bar after last week was the challenge but we came out and definitely played some good rugby today.
"The brand of rugby we want to play, we want to put teams under pressure.
"I’m just doing my job, we are all working hard and putting some good performances together.
"We have learnt a lot and worked incredibly hard, and it’s paid off in the end.
"To score a hat trick at Twickenham is awesome and very special, I’m very lucky."
