PEOPLE have been chucked off their Facebook Messenger accounts following a mysterious outage.
Thousands of reports started to appear around 3pm UK time.
Why is Facebook Messenger not working?
A spike in reports was picked up by Down Detector at around 3pm UK time with well over 50,000 complaints.
Facebook's main social network is also suffering an outage at the moment.
And some users have reported errors with Instagram too.
It's not clear what has caused the outage just yet but Facebook owner Meta has acknowledged issues.
"We are aware of an issue impacting Facebook Login," the company added to its service status page.
"Our engineering teams are actively looking to resolve the issue as quickly as possible."
Users were quick to complain about the issue on X, formerly known as Twitter.

It all started when users were randomly logged out of their accounts.
But attempting to log in and people can't get back onto the social network.
"Facebook, Messenger and Instagram are all down! What in the world are we going to do?????" one user wrote.
"Facebook, Messenger and Instagram are down. Goodbye social media. Ooops," another added.
